Exhibitions Development and Management

Some collectors would like to initiate an exhibition of their collection to offer to museums, or are asked by a museum to lend a large part of their personal collection for an exhibition.

We create, project manage and deliver exhibitions for the collector by:

  • developing exhibition ideas from the collection

  • writing an exhibition proposal document to be sent to a museum for consideration

  • advising on which museums and galleries to approach, making the approaches on behalf of, or together with, the collector

  • following up with an institution and acting as the collector's representative with all departments within the museum as the project develops and progresses

  • negotiating the conditions of loan and the exhibition contract with the borrowing institution

  • researching and selecting objects to curate exhibitions

  • writing and editing exhibition text to museum standards

  • procuring and managing curators, designers and graphic designers and other specialist services

  • devising and running an exhibition installation schedule (and de-installation)

  • managing budgets and schedules

  • overseeing object handling, packing, transportation and acting as courier to oversee the safe installation of the works
